I need to buy a 1 or 2 GIG memory card for my digital camera (see below for more)?
The camera currently has a 128MB card. Can someone: (1) tell me how much bigger the 1 or 2 GIG card is compared to the MB card; and (2) how many more pictures might I be able to get on the 1 or 2 GIG card?
Well, 1 Gigabyte is equal to 1024 Megabytes. By upgrading to a 1 GIG, you should have about 896 more megabytes to work with.
The size of the picture determines how many megabytes you need, but specialists estimate there are 3-5 gigabytes per picture.
Meaning that a 1 gigabyte card should hold about 256 pictures. (depending on how big they are).
By upgrading to a 1 gig card from a 128MG card, you will be able to store 232 MORE pictures than before.
