wifi connection troubles?

my computer upstairs is connected to the wireless internet via adapter (d-link dwl g820), but ever since i configured it to my wireless device ( Sony MYLO personal communicator com-2) i have not been able to use my computer in my room. how can i reconfigure my router modem to match my wireless adapter, we had a professional do it the first time. i dont have the money to pay the internet guy again =/ HELP!!!

I’m a twelve year old boy, should I get a Sony Mylo for christmas?

I already have an ipod, computer, laptop, psp, video games, etc. Except for a phone. My parents wont let me get one till the end of 8th grade. So for the time being, i want a portable im device.
